HOW TO CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE

To check a tire's pressure, don't kick it. That's too advanced for you. You'll need a tire pressure gauge.

Unscrew your tire's valve stem cap. That's the thing that looks like a stem and has a cap. Place the nozzle of the gauge on the valve stem. You need to press firmly enough to depress the tire valve and create a seal.

Check the gauge. Most tires require 35 pounds per square inch, or p.s.i. SUV or truck tires might use 40 PSI. To be sure what your tires need, read the writing on the wall of your tire, or take a look at the sticker inside your door.

If your pressure is too low, go down to the gas station. Most will have an air and water station with an easy-to-use air hose. Sure, you could use a bike pump, but that would take a while and might cut into your afternoon step aerobics session.
