HOW TO CHECK YOUR FLUIDS
Hey, chief. If you value things like turning, stopping, and seeing out of your windshield, you might want to get in the habit of filling up your fluids.

Look for the translucent canisters under your hood. The brake, coolant, and washer fluids should all be clearly marked and easily identifiable. If you still need help locating them, call the neighborhood kid. You should have his number on speed dial by now.

Once you've located the proper fluid reservoirs, check to see if they're full. They should have maximum and minimum fill lines on them. If they're low, fill them up with the appropriate fluid. Unlike when you substitute skim milk for half-and-half in your signature casserole, fluids are not interchangeable.

Now, the power steering fluid might be a little more difficult to locate. But hey, if you can scan through 392 channels to find your favorite soap, you can scan the engine bay for your power steering fluid. Hint: It's usually on the driver side, up near the front.
